The Lawrence Lipking Fellowship enables a qualified Northwestern University PhD candidate in English to spend one quarter conducting research full time at the Newberry Library in Chicago. Recipients are expected to present their research at a Newberry Colloquium and a chapter of their dissertation at a Fellows' Seminar, and to participate in the scholarly community during their residency. The stipend is equivalent to a Northwestern University Fellowship stipend, and tuition for the quarter is provided. The deadline is December 8.
